Protection for Your Chimney

Leadworx DPC (Damp Proof Course) chimney flashing trays are professionally engineered to safeguard your home from water damage by creating an impenetrable barrier where your chimney meets the roof. These high-quality trays prevent rainwater from seeping through brickwork and causing costly structural damage, damp issues, or interior water staining.

Professional-Grade Materials & Construction

Each tray features:

  • 100% recycled Code 4 sheet lead milled to British Standard BS EN 12588
  • Protective bitumen DPC coating on the upper surface to prevent corrosion when in contact with cement or mortar
  • Precision manufacturing for perfect fitting during chimney construction
  • Generous 50mm overhang on all sides for secure dressing around the chimney stack
  • Handcrafted in Cornwall, Great Britain by experienced lead specialist

Ordering Your Custom Chimney Flashing Tray

To ensure a perfect fit for your chimney, we need three key measurements:

  1. Chimney Stack Dimensions: The exact width and length of your chimney stack in millimetres (see diagram).
  2. Flue Spigot Requirements:
    • What is a flue spigot? This is the opening where your flue pipe connects to the chimney.
    • Sizing the spigot: Measure the diameter of your flue pipe in millimetres. This determines the size of hole needed in your flashing tray.
    • Positioning: Note the exact location of the spigot opening within your chimney stack. Measure from two edges to the centre point of where the flue will penetrate.
  3. Additional Requirements: Please specify any special features or unique aspects of your chimney design.

We automatically add 50mm to each edge of your measurements to provide sufficient material for proper dressing around the chimney stack.

Our DPC Chimney Trays come in a variety of sizes, ranging from 450×450 to 1800×800 with spigot size 130mm to 250mm.

Does a chimney need a tray?

Yes, a chimney absolutely requires a tray for proper waterproofing. This essential barrier prevents rainwater from seeping between the chimney and roof junction, which would otherwise cause structural damage, damp issues, and costly repairs. Chimney trays create a permanent, weather-resistant seal that diverts water away from vulnerable areas—making them the industry standard for chimney protection that can last decades with proper installation.

All of our chimney flashing products are made in Cornwall, Great Britain. From 100% recycled Code 4 sheet lead milled to British Standard BS EN 12588
